Short ferrule with thread for cylindric shafts with tungsten carbide tip.
Tungsten carbide (WC) is a chemical compound containing powder forms of tungsten carbide and cobalt which are during a specific sintering process fused together into a dense "hard metal".
Tungsten carbide (widia) is much stiffer than steel, so this tip is extremely durable
Purpose of use: hiking and trekking poles
